Meet PhD in Hispanic Musicology, Mr. Mesa Martinez. How can we use musicology to learn about culture and identity? Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology from the University of Granada (Spain). His publications include the following books: Towards a reconstruction of ‘professional musicianship’ in Colombia (Granada, 2014), and Maruja Hinestrosa: Nariño’s identity through her piano (Pasto, 2014).
He also studied in Norway, Minnesota (USA), France and Colombia.
Doctor en Musicología egresado del programa en “Historia y Ciencias de la Música” de la Universidad de Granada – España. Autor de los libros titulados Hacia una reconstrucción del concepto de “músico profesional” en Colombia (Granada, 2014) y Maruja Hinestrosa: la identidad nariñense a través de su piano(Pasto, 2014).
También estudió en Noruega, Minnesota (EEUU), Francia y en Colombia.
